WHEW! It's refreshing to witness some good ol' hip-hop raw talent. As of late, hip-hop wasn't the genre that once was (can't forgot about Black Hippy of course, still bumping GKMC & CS) and music in general. The EDM and Trap scene have took over music and I personally don't know why. The vibes, the excitement, the content, the egos just aren't up to par. My anticipation fiending for new music is non existent. But the Beast Coast Movement has revived this feeling for me. Pro Era, Flatbush Zombies and The Underachievers have been creating mass amount last year and on. The New York collectives are recreating its roots as their basslines give off the indescribable good music feeling.
The effu crew took stroll to Berkeley to see Issa Dash and AK perform for free at the University. The show ran for about 45 mins. Fairly short, but hey it was free! The DJ and speakers were really poor, but that didn't stop UA and their loyal fans of having a good time. These fans were voluntarily and heavily throbbing to every song from Philanthropist, So Devilish and Herb Shuttles. UA brought great chemistry and energy to the stage that made you vibe out without them yelling out hype phrases. It's crazy how far music has come from as these NY cats can release a mixtape online and people knew all of the lyrics. I proudly anticipate for Chapter 23 and wish the best for the Beast Coast Movement.
