Unfortunately textbooks will start to play a big role in my life again as the oh so dreaded semester begins. Balancing school, work and effulgence is definitely a hard task. Sometimes I imagine where the brand will be if I could dedicate all my time into it. I often contemplate on the idea of dropping school and quitting my job. Some of the greats have taken this path to success. Obvious ones like Kanye West, Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg and even surprising ones like Walt Disney, Simon Cowell and Richard Branson. These people had a passion and didn't sleep on their dream. They were more hungry than the person next to them and didn't let anyone tell them no. I feel like the education system limits your opportunities and prevents you from what you truly want to be. Kids these days seem to be restricted to their dreams and take the route of security because of society. People doubt risks and sometimes they are right, but I'm a believer in a your childhood dream to become reality. It's just the matter of how hungry you are and the risk you are willing to take.
I may be a contradicting myself, but I'm personally not ready to take that big risk. But I am taking the risk in a wholesaling side for effulgence. Before I was very stubborn in only selling effulgence products on the website. I wanted to keep it exclusive and not sell out. After many opinions and thought, I figured out a way in balancing the two and hoping it works. Below are some preview line sheets of upcoming effulgence headwear. Hopefully a good amount retailers are interested and I can break minimums for production. For the people that have saw them, I received great feedback. I'm crossing my fingers I can get these produced so I can release them for you guys. And as I balance my job, education and the brand, I will try my best for more blog updates and most importantly more products.
