AALIYAH

It's been 11 years since the gifted r&b sensation has left us (it's crazy to think that 9/11 happened 3 weeks later, time sure files). She would have been at the young age of 33 and I can't imagine where she could have been with her career and life. From what I remember, I discovered her one of a kind voice post death on someones myspace page. But I didn't come to full appreciation of her music till much later. There's something about her music that instantly connects to your feelings and makes you dance ,smile and weep all at the same time. She may have been young, but her messages connects to all. Most importantly, she had class for a beautiful female icon. She knew she was gorgeous, but used it in a perfect way. And from readings and videos, you always hear positive feedback about her. She represented a true hustle as she would sign all of her fans autographs, shake their hands and even get inspired by them. She didn't use her connections to make it in industry, she used her love. She seemed to be such a wonderful and pure character that made real r&b music. It's also great to know she was very family oriented. Her short lived success will always be respected by many. I personally want to give her a sincere thank you. Thank you for giving us truly timeless music. Thank you for being a positive role model for the youth and adults. Thank you for giving me sincere music during happy times and hard times. I'll personally say my thanks when I see you in heaven, you are truly one in a million and we truly miss you.
