BEHIND THE ZIP-UP

As the war in Iraq and Afghanistan is still in progress, I thought it would only be necessary to raise awareness being in the shadows of the media. The effulgence military zip-up has numerous references to United States Armed Forces. I decided to take you behind the process of the design and the meanings of each detail.

These are a few sketches of the zip-up. I'm not the best artist in the world so Illustrator is my best friend during these times.

Skill badges & effulgence army tape. The stars have no meaning. I thought it added a nice detailed touch under the tape.

IX represents when effulgence official started back in 2009. "God Will Judge Our Enemies, We'll Arrange The Meeting" is a navy quote. Felix The Cat is a logo for an Air Force team called the Tomcatters. New EF logo. The infinity symbol represents how war is never ending and violence will always be present. I decided to go with this design on the right chest over the name tape because I thought it would have looked bland and I wouldn't know what name to use anyway.

Backwards American Flag. effucrew army unit patch. Wilson Wallace patch. Rank patch. Even though the unit patch should be placed on the left arm and the rank patch should be in the center, I felt that it would be to much going on the hoodie already as it is. I decided to move everything to the right side because, in the military, the "place of honor" is to a military member's right.
